After India vs Afghanistan match, Twitter user reveals inspiring story of Afghan team. There’s a twist too.

A tweet about the Afghanistan team and their rise to the international cricket scene is going viral online and it’s the best thing you will browse these days.

In a nail-biting match between India and Afghanistan yesterday in the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019, whereas India won, it was Afghanistan that managed to shine despite their loss.

So much so that even Indian team captain Virat Kohli, after the team’s win, said that they’d began to doubt themselves in the half-way stage of Afghanistan’s 225 chase in Southampton on Saturday.

Now a tweet regarding the Afghanistan team and their rise to the international cricket scene is going viral online and it’s the best thing you will browse these days.

A Twitter user by the name @NaPoha, took to social media recently to write regarding the Afghan cricket team saying, “This Afghan cricket rise gives me so much joy on a personal level. Some 15 years ago I started playing club cricket at the Khyber Medical college ground in Peshawar, where a modest ‘net'(pitch) of refugee boys was the hq of what would later become this Afghan national team. #CWC19.”

The man in step with his tweets used to play with the team members before they became the national team of Afghanistan.

He further wrote, “That modest net on the Sherpao Hospital end is where it all began with boys like Hamid, Daulat, Nabi, Shapur, Asghar who began by playing grade cricket in then NWFP. I couldn’t make it to international cricket, however these guys did, and that makes me happy.”

But there was a twist to the story too. After revealing their inspiring story, he even revealed a fun fact about the team saying that all of them are six to ten years older than what their cricket papers say.

He tweeted, “Fun fact though: these guys are a minimum of 6-10 years older than their cricket papers claim to be. I see their ages return au courant the stats chart on tv and that I am like, ‘no fucking manner bro. however did all of those guys get younger than me?”

In yesterday’s match, India won by 11 runs against the Afghan team.
