When social learning means are appropriate to the ends and constraints of high stakes performance, there are impactful considerations for any enterprise and its L&D function in the strategies and tactics they might employ in leveraging the knowledge and skills of some for the development of others.

This session will address the non-conscious nature of knowledge, the continuum from very informal to very formal social learning as impacted by the performance stakes and complexity, and share examples of the content structure of social learning guides and the structure of the social learning systems administrative that might be needed on its own continuum from very informal to very formal.
